The sixth season of Once Upon a Time is now out on DVD and Blu-ray and you can get it on for example Amazon. Below is a review from The Morton Report. Go and get our copy now!

Now available on Blu-ray and DVD, Once Upon a Time: The Complete Sixth Season continues ABC’s popular fantasy drama. Throughout its sixth year, Once experienced some shaky, declining ratings. The network will be retooling the series as it soldiers onward. If you’re new to the series, proceed directly to the first season. The labyrinth plot incorporates an army of classic fairy tale characters and their alter egos—largely unfolding in the present-day Storybrooke, Maine, but shuffling endlessly between that and various fantasy realms. Even if you’re familiar with the series but simply not up-to-date, go back to wherever you left off before diving into the Sixth Season. This is highly difficult show to latch onto midstream

This past season continued the series’ creeping trend of de-emphasizing the core cast in favor of extraneous subplot involving new characters (designed to come and go). Chief among those distraction this year are Aladdin (Deniz Akdeniz) and Princess Jasmine (Karen David) in a multi-episode run, and even Jafar (Oded Fehr) in a few episodes. Be it the Frozen sisters (in season four) or King Arthur and Merlin (in season five), the revolving door of Disney-related characters often feels like mere fan service. There are other folks who drop by throughout season six (including an admittedly welcome Faran Tahir as Captain Nemo), and while the performances are generally fine it feels distracting.

Categories Once Upon a Time, TV

So to keep you updated on whats going on with Once Upon a Time and the upcoming season I have gathered some articles for you. Here is the premise for season 7:

The residents of the enchanted forest enter Season 7 facing their greatest challenge yet as the Evil Queen, Captain Hook and Rumplestiltskin join forces with a grown-up Henry Mills and his daughter Lucy on an epic quest to bring hope to their world and ours. Along the way, new fairy tale characters and old search for true love, find adventure and take sides in the ongoing struggle of good against evil as classic tales are once again twisted and reimagined.

A new cast member has joined the series:

Australian actress Emma Booth (Underbelly, Gods of Egypt) has landed a major recurring role on the upcoming seventh season of ABC’s Once Upon a Time, which is undergoing a reset with new stories and a number of new characters. She will play The Witch.

Read more at Deadline.

Giles Matthey will return during the seventh season of Once Upon a Time, EW has learned exclusively.

The actor, who joined the show in season 6 as the son of Belle (Emilie de Ravin) and Rumple (Robert Carlyle), was thought to be a villain, coerced by the Black Fairy (Jaime Murray) to take out Emma (Jennifer Morrison). But the character was ultimately redeemed and reverted back to his baby self by season’s end.

Some good news or all of us fans who love Belle and Rumple together!

Following yesterday’s Once Upon a Time panel at San Diego Comic-Con, in which showrunners promised the doors would be open for some of the series originals who’ve left ahead of its seventh season, at least one departing cast member has already inked the dotted line to ensure her return.

Entertainment Weekly reports that Emilie de Ravin has signed up for at least one more stint of OUAT — and yes, there was probably a price, as Rumple would say — to offer an update as to what’s been happening with Belle in the fourth episode.

De Ravin announced her decision to leave OUAT — alongside fellow series originals Josh Dallas, Ginnifer Goodwin, Jennifer Morrison, and Jared Gilmore — but her on-screen love/loath interest, Robert Carlyle’s Rumple, will remain along with Colin O’Donoghue’s Hook, Lana Parilla’s Regina.

Some info on the new season and how the storyline will change focus and also new airtime!

Wondering what’s in store for the remaining heroes and villains of Once Upon a Time next season?

In the wake of six cast members leaving the series — including Jennifer Morrison, Ginnifer Goodwin, Josh Dallas, Rebecca Mader, Emilie de Ravin, and Jared Gilmore — OUAT will shift focus to follow an adult Henry (now played by Andrew J. West) and his daughter, along with returning faces Regina (Lana Parrilla), Hook (Colin O’Donoghue), and Rumple (Robert Carlyle). And now we know what they’ll be up to!

ABC revealed this tidbit about season 7 in releasing its new fall schedule on Tuesday morning: “After six seasons, the residents of the enchanted forest face their greatest challenge yet as The Evil Queen, Captain Hook and Rumplestiltskin join forces with a grown up Henry Mills and his daughter Lucy on an epic quest to once again bring hope to their world and ours. Along the way, new fairy tale characters and old search for true love, find adventure and once again take sides in the struggle of good against evil, as classic tales are once more twisted and reimagined.”

Once Upon a Time will be moving to Fridays at 8 p.m. ET this fall. While we settle into the long wait, get scoop on the new season from executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis here.
